Meggitt Awarded $57 million-plus HVAC system from General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada

Meggitt PLC, a leading international company specialising in high performance components and sub-systems for the aerospace, defence and energy markets, announces that Meggitt Defence Systems, Irvine, California, has received a $57.3 million contract to provide heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems from General Dynamics Land Systems – Canada (GDLS-C)

The MDSI HVAC will provide cooling and heating to driver and crew. The size, weight and power-optimised HVAC system leverages Meggitt’s leading capability in mission-critical, supplemental vapour cycle systems for ground combat and military aircraft platforms—Meggitt has supplied thermal management systems to General Dynamics Land Systems for over a decade including over 2,100 similar systems for the M1A2 SEP version of the Abrams main battle tank.
